Summary:
The HR Generalist - Commercial is responsible for performing various HR-related duties and will work closely with the Operations Manager in the US in supporting the following functional areas:
Talent acquisition, interviewing, terminations, benefits administration, employee relations, employee engagement, training, performance management, onboarding, payroll, new policy implementation, employment law compliance, and HR special projects.
Essential Job Functions:
Assure company policies are administered fairly and consistently throughout the area of responsibility.
Work closely with hiring managers to recruit qualified diverse candidates through various resources and participate in networking opportunities to create an image as the employer of choice.
Conduct the onboarding of new hires, including sending background checks and drug tests, requesting credentials and equipment, sending onboarding links, adding a new hire to the payroll system, conducting onboarding HR orientation, completing E-Verify & I9 Forms, and updating the org chart.
Manage HRIS and payroll, including new.
employee setup, status changes, and timekeeping system.
Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll.
Assist Operations manager with 401(k) compliance requirements.
Process required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
Assist in the management and execution of bonus plans, merit processes, and routine/special request reports.
Work with staffing agencies to provide temp labor.
Respond to employment verifications, DOL requests, and other authorized HR-related correspondence.
Administer health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
Coordinate the administration of all Leave of Absence programs and processes, including transitional work and accommodations.
Support Controller/CFO with documentation for visas and green card applications.
Support employee requests and questions.
Support in drafting announcements.
Process terminations in all applicable systems and assist with exit interviews.
Assist with the preparation of the performance review process.
Maintain employee records in compliance with state and federal requirements.
Responsible for assisting with Human Resources projects assigned.
Uphold the highest confidentiality standards.
Education/Skills/
Experience:
Degree:
bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field is preferred.
List years of experience needed for the position:
3-5 years of experience/exposure in the HR functions.
Identify years of experience instead of education:
6-8 years of experience/exposure in HR-related functions, manufacturing industry experience required.
ADP TotalSource, ADP Workforce Now and ADP Payroll experience is preferred.
Specific skill sets necessary for the position:
A strong client focus with outstanding judgment, critical thinking, verbal and written skills, a team orientation with strong influencing skills and demonstrated ability or aptitude for leadership, ability to deal with the uncertainties of an evolving, dynamic organization, computer literacy, strong working knowledge of MS Office.
Must have the ability to be on the floor and involved with the employees.
Learn and understand the employees and organization's needs.
