Summary:
The HR Generalist - Commercial isresponsible for performing various HR-related duties and will work closely withthe Operations Manager in the US in supporting the following functional areas:
Talentacquisition, interviewing, terminations, benefits administration, employeerelations, employee engagement, training, performance management, onboarding,payroll, new policy implementation, employment law compliance, and HR specialprojects.
Essential Job Functions:
Assure company policies are administered fairlyand consistently throughout the area of responsibility.
Work closely with hiring managers to recruitqualified diverse candidates through various resources and participate innetworking opportunities to create an image as the employer of choice.
Conduct the onboarding of new hires, includingsending background checks and drug tests, requesting credentials and equipment,sending onboarding links, adding a new hire to the payroll system, conductingonboarding HR orientation, completing E-Verify & I9 Forms, and updating theorg chart.
Manage HRIS and payroll, including new.
employee setup, status changes, and timekeepingsystem.
Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll.
Assist Operations manager with 401(k) compliancerequirements.
Process required documents through payroll andinsurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
Assist in the management and execution of bonusplans, merit processes, and routine/special request reports.
Work with staffing agencies to provide templabor.
Respond to employment verifications, DOLrequests, and other authorized HR-related correspondence.
Administer health and welfare plans, includingenrollments, changes, and terminations.
Coordinate the administration of all Leave ofAbsence programs and processes, including transitional work and accommodations.
Support Controller/CFO with documentation forvisas and green card applications.
Support employee requests and questions.
Support in drafting announcements.
Process terminations in all applicable systemsand assist with exit interviews.
Assist with the preparation of the performancereview process.
Maintain employee records in compliance withstate and federal requirements.
Responsible for assisting with Human Resourcesprojects assigned.
Uphold the highest confidentiality standards.
Education/Skills/
Experience:
Degree:
bachelor's degree in human resources ora related field is preferred.
List years of experience needed for theposition:
3-5 years of experience/exposure in the HR functions.
Identify years of experience instead ofeducation:
6-8 years of experience/exposure in HR-related functions,manufacturing industry experience required.
ADP TotalSource, ADP Workforce Now and ADPPayroll experience is preferred.
Specific skill sets necessary for the position:
A strong client focus with outstanding judgment, critical thinking, verbal andwritten skills, a team orientation with strong influencing skills anddemonstrated ability or aptitude for leadership, ability to deal with theuncertainties of an evolving, dynamic organization, computer literacy, strongworking knowledge of MS Office.
Must have the ability to be on the floor andinvolved with the employees.
Learn and understand the employees and organization'sneeds.
